J.K. Rowling will be publishing The Tales of Beedle the Bard with all net proceeds going to the Children's High Level Group (which is trying to ensure that children recieve the UN minium standard of care).

Hopkins Children Kept Virtual Prisoners
The children of Anthony and Arletha Hopkins were kept virtual prisoners. The children were said to be home-schooled, but officials are not sure what they were taught. Alabama officials do not require any proof that home-schooled students are taught anything. Neighbors are saying that the children were not allowed to play with the children in the neighborhood or talk to anyone.
"These kids had no contact with anybody who could offer them protection," District Attorney John Tyson said. The daughter who reported the murder and rape just left home two weeks ago.

Preachers Dead Wife Found In Freezer
I think that it can't get worse, and the BAM! It gets worse.
A Mobile, Alabama evangelist was arrested in church while preaching a sermon on forgiveness. Arrested for what you ask. Murder, incest, rape, and sodomy. Somebody will be burning in hell. Anthony Hopkins is accused of murdering his wife after he caught him in the act of molesting a female family member. He murdered his wife, Arletha Hopkins, and put her body in the freezer in an utility room. He told everyone that his wife had died in childbirth. Despite the fact that Mrs. Hopkins had been missing for three years, no one reported her missing. The female relative finally turned him in.
The Department of Human Resources took the couple's 8 children into protective custody. Anthony Hopkins is the father of six of the eight children. They range in age from 3 to 19. The children were home-schooled and moved around from place to place.
Police are waiting for forensic tests to positively identify the body in the freezer. And the test can't be performed until they slowly defrost the body.

Man Kills Woman, Kidnaps Baby Mama and Kids
An Amber Alert was issued for four children and their mother after their father, Rodlyn Petitbois, stabbed a woman in the head and kidnapped them. The family was later seen entering a mass transit station (no yachts for them) . Greenland Etienne later died at Massachusetts General Hospital. The children ages 11month to 3 years were found later Wednesday in good condition in Brooklyn. Their mother, Louna Eveillard, was stabbed in the hand. A friend of the family,Sabinio Stpruex, told reporters that Rodlyn showed up and tried to force Louna to leave with him. She was stabbed in the hand after refusing to go. Etienne called police, trying to get help for her friend, Petitbois then stabbed her in the face. Louna had gone to Etienne's in an effort to get away from Rodlyn Petitbois.
Massachusetts prosecutors are looking to file first degree murder charges against Petitbois. Police do not believe that Louna Eveillard was an accomplice.

Kate Hudson and Lance Armstrong have broken up according to US Weekly. Who really cares. What I question is why rush into thing where your kids are concerned. Megan Touma Update
The man accused of killing Megan Touma was a fellow soldier. Sergeant Edgar Patino has admitted to fathering Touma's unborn child despite being married to someone else. He admits to being in her hotel room the last day her room key was used. Patino also purchased a typewriter the day before letters blaming the Zodiac Killer were mailed.
"We feel there was significant evidence that Patino published those letters, mailed those letters to throw off the investigation," said police Sgt. Chris Corcione.
He is scheduled to appear in court later today.
This murder is one of several reported murders of servicewomen around North Carolina military bases.

Police have identified the baby mauled to death by the family's 6week old labradour puppy as Zane Alen Earles. The puppy was destroyed.

More details in the kidnapping of Reigh "Snooks" Boss have been released. The girl's name was changed from Rockefeller to Boss during the divorce. Clarke Rockefeller who does not have a drivers licence hired a driver to drive him and his daughter to Massachusetts General Hospital. At the hospital Rockefeller told the driver to wait, but the driver saw the pair enter a cab. Later they met up with a female friend who drove them to Grand Central Station in a white Lexus. The driver of the SUV turned himself in when he found out that police were looking for him. The driver of the Lexus did not know that Rockefeller was kidnapping Reigh. She took a lie-detector test and no charges were filed. This was his first visit since the divorce.
Police are having trouble finding out the truth about Rockefeller's past. He only started using that last name a few years ago. Claims about his educational and employment histories also seem to lead to dead ends.
Police have released photos of two dresses that Rockefeller bought for Reigh because she may be wearing them.
I wonder why it took twelve years for Sandra Boss was at best lying about his background, and at worst an out and out conman.

Arrest in Megan Touma Case
Police have made an arrest in the case of Spc. Megan Touma. Her body was found in a motel bathtub. She was seven months pregnant. Edgar Patino was arrested for her murder. No details about Patino were released. There will be a press conference tomorrow.

Miley Cyrus Offered Deal To Hawk Condoms
LifeStyle Condoms have offered Miley Cyrus a deal to promote condoms. I hope this is just a publicity stunt on their part, the girl is just 15.And haven't they cornered the market to the point where they don't have to do crap like this. Rockefeller Kidnapping
J. Clarke Rockefeller (even though there is no proof that he is one of "those" Rockefellers) is accused of kidnapping his 7 year old daughter, Reigh. The kidnapping took place during a supervised visit in Boston. Rockefeller pushed the social worker, grabbed the girl, and jumped into a waiting SUV. The social worker was able to grab the vehicle and was dragged behind it. An Amber Alert was issued but later lifted when it was determined that he had the girl in the New York City area. They were last seen in front of Grand Central Station Sunday around 7:30pm. Authorities believe that he will try to escape to the Bahamas aboard the 72ft catamaran, Serenity. Police and and the Coast Guard searched for the boat in the area around New York City and Long Island.

The rumour is that Caylee's father died about a year ago in a traffic accident. Police are said to have confirmed this.

Jail Releases Latest Call From Casey Anthony
Jail officials released a call made between Casey Anthony and her brother,Lee. He began by warning Casey that the call would be recorded and released.
"Do you think Caylee is OK?" he asked her.
"My gut feeling?" Casey Anthony said. "As mom asked me yesterday and they asked me last night and the psychologist asked me this morning, (inaudible phrase). In my gut she is still OK and it still feels like she is close to home. So, that is still my best feeling at the moment. Again, if that changes I mean obviously I'm going to reach out and say something immediately. I know mom will understand this better than anyone that there is that type of bond that you have with your kid and it's unexplainable, absolutely."
"Did you speak with Caylee over the phone at any time?" Lee Anthony asked.
"I did one time and that is actually the day that mom had called the police," Casey Anthony said.
"Do you remember when you spoke to her?" Lee Anthony said.
"Around noon," Casey Anthony said. "It was through a private call."
"Did you ever call the baby sitter on your cell or ever receive a call from the baby sitter on your cell phone number?"
"I most definitely did," Casey Anthony said.
"Can you give me any day or anything that you think you may have received that," Lee Anthony said.
"On a specific day?" Casey Anthony said. "God, a lot of the times it was through text messages. So, the number would show up even on that. I can't think of any specifics. I mean, my days are all thrown together. I at least know what the day is today but as far as stuff from the last couple of months, I have no exact time or date."
When asked about where the phone was Casey said that the last time she saw it was at the boyfriend's. Police have searched the home of Tony Lazarro, but a phone was not found.
Her attorney, Jose Baez, is filing a motion for a gag order to prevent further calls from being released.
"The release of any visitation video-conferencing could impede the investigation, chill the public's willingness to report any leads, and compromise the integrity of the defendant's right to a fair trial," claims Baez in the one-page motion. Later he writes that their release "could irreversibly taint the criminal process."
He is also appealing to have the bond amount reduced.
Women named Zenaida Gonzalez are also getting unwanted attention. It turns at that it is not such an uncommon name. There are over 400 with the name in Florida, which has a large Hispanic population. And both Hernandez and Gonzalez are like Smith in their usage. But oddly enough they can't find a Zenaida Hernandez-Gonzalez.

There will be a fundraiser for Caylee on August 1st. It will be from 4pm until midnight at Speed Park Motorsports in Daytona Beach. The donations will go to Kid Finders Network to help in the search, not the family. Kid Finders will be on hand to take fingerprints and photos of children. And the family will be there too. Disney owned Hollywood Records has dropped Raven from its lineup. Raven's latest album only sold 10,000 copies. Raven is getting a little long in the tooth for Disney. She should have stayed with the Cheetah Girls. Maybe she will concentrate on acting now.

I so want the Polaroid PoGo. The 2x3 inch photos would be scrapbooking. And the printer's tiny size is smaller a normal 4x6 print, so it can be be thrown in even the tiniest of purses. This is the technology that Polaroid hopes will replace their popular instant film which has cult-like status. There have been complaints that the color of the print is somehow "off". Well one of the best things about Polaroid instant film was that the color was never quite right. And why not go all out and slap a camera on the thing. An instant digital camera is a brilliant idea, and would sell quicker than ice cream on a hot day. $149.95
The film is $9.99 for 30, or about 33 cents a picture.

Paris Hilton has giving up on trying to fake a pregnancy to get more press. Here she is in a skin tight dress last week at Comic-Con. Nice to see that she has given up on the loose tops and using her handbag to cover a nonexistent belly.
