DaVinci's Mario

My kids are obsessed with Mario and Nintendo. So when I saw this t-shirt by Kevin Tong I immediately thought of my oldest son. The Kevin Tong design is drawn in the style of Leonardo DaVinci's sketchbooks. $20

Petite Picasso

Are you looking for the ultimate way to preserve your little artist artwork. Petite Picasso has a range of custom bound books for the drawings of children. The books range in price from $200 for a book with a linen cover to $650 for a book with a leather cover in a custom box. The base price includes up to fifty works of art.

This would be a great gift for a grandparent's anniversary. Why not have all the grandkids illustrate their grandparent's love story.

The company will also paint a portrait of your child's favorite stuffed animal.

Thierry Bouet's Baby Photos

Thierry Bouet has proven one thing by photographing French newborns immediately after birth, that newborns are probably pissed after being removed from the only home they have ever known.

Salt Lake Temple

During the holiday rush I missed out on buying a gem. Cameron Moll's Salt Lake Temple is the result of over 100 hours of painstaking type setting. I'm not even Mormon and I was obsessed with the poster. Unfortunately the $75 poster sold out, but I added my name to the notification list because if it becomes available again it will be hanging somewhere at my house.

Inside Tori Spelling's Home

Tori Spelling is selling her Westwood home, so we get to have a peek inside. What can I say besides it looks decorated by a home stager and they love the bold wallpaper. I'm surprised it doesn't give her babies headaches. Maybe was just purchased to be set for her reality show.

Also I almost bought that painting in her dining room from 1st Dibs. I wondered where she went. I also wonder what that says about my taste. More photos after the jump.

Cleaning The Met Chandeliers

I know this has nothing to do with kids, but I love the Met's chandeliers. They are being taken down so that they can be refurbished. This would be a great "how things work" story with kids, so I guess it does has something to do with them.

Cool Product Advertising

Blown up and painted onto a wall, or even blown up and printed on nice paper, these ice cream ads from Denmark would make nice nursery wall decorations.

And why does America have so much ugly product packaging?

You should buy something from Belle & Boo's Etsy shop now. It is art that is perfect for someone who wants something to personify childhood, but that isn't childish.

Codex Transportica

Nick Pearson, the autor of the Codex Transportica left a comment saying that there may be a book when they get to over a hundred vehicles. So far there are about twenty-three or four. Can't wait. My youngest draws copies of some of the vehicles. If they don't do a book, they should at least do a colouring book for kids like him. A Codex Transportica colouring book would be the coolest birthday gift on the party circuit.
