Jim Adkisson, opened fire at Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church killing Greg McKendry. Linda Kraeger later died from her injuries. Seven others were also injured during a youth group performance Sunday. Church members dove under pews and ran from the church as the shooting starting. Mr. McKendry was the first person the gunman encountered. The gunman was then subdued by church members who held him until police arrived.
Church member, Marty Murphy, said, "One little girl had blood all over her. She was just hysterical. I don't know how that girl is going to sleep tonight."
If a child is not safe at a place of worship where is he safe?
