Black and White Twins

The couple in Germany that is celebrating the birth of their black and white twins will be in for a surprise in the next few months. That "white" baby will probably darken up in the next months. And it doesn't look very white to begin with. We see this all the time in my family. We are dark Hispanics and I have a black grandfather. My children were born with stick straight hair, the texture was almost curly by one year, and my teenage son's hair curled more at puberty. My nine year old has a patch of straight hair among his waves. I can't get it to curl to save my life. And my fifteen year old was born blue eyed, his eyes were brown after a few days. And his brown hair turned red when he was about three, and back to brown a couple of years later. So will the family still be celebrating when the white baby is the color a copper penny in a year? What surprises me is how dark the "black" baby is. My grandmother has a way of predicting a baby ultimate color, look at the skin at the base of the baby's fingernail. This wouldn't be that big of a deal in South America.
