The Tales of Beedle the Bard
J.K. Rowling will be publishing The Tales of Beedle the Bard with all net proceeds going to the Children's High Level Group (which is trying to ensure that children recieve the UN minium standard of care).
There will be two editions of the book which is referenced in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. The collector's edition is tucked in its own case disguised as a wizarding textbook found in the Hogwarts library, the Collector's Edition includes an exclusive reproduction of J.K. Rowling's handwritten introduction, as well as 10 additional illustrations not found in the standard edition or the original. Opening the case reveals a velvet bag embroidered with J.K. Rowling’s signature, in which sits the piece de resistance: your very own copy of The Tales of Beedle the Bard, complete with metal skull, corners, and clasp; replica gemstones; and emerald ribbon. It costs $100
Then there is the standard hardcover edition which cost $7.59, because who wants an eleven year old reading an $100 book. The books are available for preorder over at Amazon, and will be released 4 December, just in time for Christmas.
