Clarke Rockefeller has admitted to using the name Christopher Chichester in the eighties when he tried to start a career as an actor. He also admits to calling himself Christopher Crowe when he tried to recreate himself as a Wall Street titan. He hasn't admitted to being German national, Christian Karl Gerhartsreiter. But that is who police believe him to be.
A man calling Christopher Chichester is wanted for questioning in the disappearance of John and Linda Sohus in 1985. Chichester was living in the guest house of the California newlyweds when the disappeared.
Christian Gerhartsreiter's family says Rockefeller is the same young man who left a small Bavarian village and just never returned. But Rockefeller who speaks German is denying it, saying that he has never been to Germany and doesn't have any relatives there.
