The Republican Convention

The Republican Party has practically cancelled the first day of their convention, and the other two days are iffy. This is out of respect for those in the path of Hurricane Gustav. Good plan. The President and Vice President won't be speaking, so the party a chance to distance itself from the duo. Senetor McCain spoke out against the way President Bush handled the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. And also it distances the party from the Bush White House war policy.
