There is a publicity whore born every minute. And one is bailing Casey Anthony out of jail. Leonard Padilla a bounty hunter and his bail bondsman nephew are posting Casey's half a million dollar bond. It's a win win situation for Padilla. At most he will have to put up $50,000 and he makes national headlines. In the end all the free press is much cheaper that a nationwide commercial. And there is little chance of his losing his bond money because Casey will be required to wear a GPS anklet. If he was doing this because he thinks he can get information on Caylee's whereabouts out of Casey (good luck with that), why was he doing press interviews before he even left Sacramento for Orlando. He thinks that he will be staying with the Anthonys to watch over Casey, but he hasn't even spoken with them. He's only talked to Jose Baez. I think the Anthonys are going to take his money and slowly push him out of the picture. At least that's what I hope they do. How do you think they are going to react to the fact that he believes that Casey is on drugs. What bail bondsman expects to stay with someone they bail out? He's providing a business service. Is Padilla hoping to get a reality show or write a book in the future? I truly doubt that his motives are purely altruistic.
Casey should be out by the end of the weekend. If the Anthonys think that people are threatening and harassing them now, wait to Casey is out of jail and back in their home. Casey needs to stay in jail, if for no other reason than that is where she is safest.
And the family has appointed Larry Garrison as their spokesman. Garrison, president of production company SilverCreek Entertainment, co-authored a book on the disappearance of missing Alabama teenager Natalie Holloway. He was also a spokesman for the family of John Mark Karr, the man who gained notoriety for falsely confessing to the murder of JonBenet Ramsey. He will be speaking to the press for the family. I wonder if he is working for free. But at least he will stop the press from asking the family about Caylee being dead. That was just cruel.
