About 175 people came out to aid Equusearch in the hunt for Caylee Anthony. They need more volunteers. But I think that the volunteers aren't showing up because they are turned off by the attitude of the Anthony family, not to mention Casey's non-cooperation.
And even though I think that Casey is where she belongs, back in jail. But I think that they should have allowed Jose Baez to turn her in. It probably cost them more than the $700 she is accused of stealing to arrest her. I think that they wanted to embarrass her, and to be seen by the press and public as doing something.
"It's frustrating, and it's scary that the government would throw out all the rules, ignore the Constitution, flex their power whenever they decide to and try to endanger the presumption of innocence," Baez told News 13. "This was all about trying to show that she is a bad person, and not about trying to find Caylee. You had the officers, who are homicide detectives, over here arresting her for an economics crime. People are smarter than that. People aren't as stupid as law enforcement thinks they are, with their leaks and their little shows. We need to get them focused on finding Caylee, not on creating little spectacles like this."
We don't need the police to show us that she is a bad person, everyone already knows that. I bet that deep down even her family knows that. And the homicide detectives probably came out because they are the ones who uncovered the deaths. And they are already dealing with her crimes.
And I wonder if her family will pay the debt she ran up on their credit card. Or will they report it as fraud to the credit card company. I think that the credit card company would make them go to police because they know who the thief is. And I doubt that it was really as high as $45,000, they don't look like they would have a credit limit that high. They didn't have enough assets to guarantee the $500,000 bond after all.
All that said, I did enjoy watching them lead her out in handcuffs.
