Caylee Anthony Update 12 September
It looks like Casey Anthony won't be going back to jail. According to the local Fox affiliate the State's Attorney has said that these are just formal charges stemming from her last arrest. She has already bonded out on those charges. But the sheriff's department says it may press additional charges that are different than the formal charges soon. Could it be an arrest for elder abuse? Because we all know it won't be for murder.
The local ABC affiliate meanwhile is looking into whether 20/20 paid the Anthonys for photos and videos used during the interview it did with the show. (WTF, 20/20 is an ABC show. And they are being investigated by a local affiliate) 20/20 licensed the materials from right holders. Right holders are the people who took and own the photos and videos. That would have been the Anthony family, including Casey. WFTV is reporting that 20/20 could have paid as much as a quarter of a million dollars.
The lawyer for George and Cindy, Mark NaJame, says they weren't paid anything. But Press Corps Media, the public relations firm hired by Jose Baez said of reporter Kathi Belich, "She is a reporter of lies and bile," in a release. Well, isn't that the pot calling the kettle black. Have they forgotten that they are representing a monumental liar.
And police seem to have given up on the active search for Caylee. But I guess you can't go around searching forever when you don't have reliable clues. Casey knows where her daughter is. But she is going to stick with her lies until hell freezes over. She is rid of Caylee, now if she could make her legal problems go away she could party all the time. And even if she can't do that she gets to punish Cindy. So what if her child rots in the middle of nowhere. Her mother won't have a grave to visit, so Casey wins in the end.
