PurFlo Mattress
The PurFlo Mattress isn't a mattress in the traditional sense. It is an aluminum frame covered in a sleep surface. Since there is no foam core, there is nothing for dust mites to feed on. Dust mites are a leading cause of eczema and asthma. And the covering is removable so that it can be machined washed. Even better the company sells spare covers for those middle of the night leaky diapers. And it save the trouble of using a bottom sheet.
The cover of the mattress also conforms to the shape of your baby's body. From the video it looks like a cross between a hammock and a traditional mattress. The tension on the mattress is also fully adjustable. And despite the fact that the mattress lacks a core it is designed to hold a child up until it is six years old. And after your baby outgrows it you can disassemble the mattress and store it away for the next baby or to pass on to a friend.
PurFlo products are available at TwoLeftFeet (they ship to the US and respond to emails quickly) and Paul Stride. £109.99-£129.99
