Peg Perego seems to have realised that the weight on the Skate was a real drawback. The Skate weighs in at a whopping 33lbs. In the spring Peg Perego will be coming out with the new and improved Skate Elite which will weigh about 10 pounds less. There is also a cool new accessory. The Skate Elite will have a stand which will allow the seat to be used as a bassinet, and it will also hold a car seat. I think the weight reduction will make the stroller much more popular.
