Caylee Anthony Update 21 September
Finally the Orange County Sheriff's Department is doing something about protesters who are more trouble makers seeking a fight than actual protesters. They are desperately seeking a way of legally imposing a curfew on the street that the Anthonys live on. Every night there is a new story about the Anthonys and shirtless protesters (there is always at least one shirtless protester). And the Home Owners Association for the Anthony's neighborhood has asked them to stop having the Sunday vigils. The vigils just bring out the press and the protesters. Early Saturday morning the protesters were so annoying that the neighbors took to screaming profanities at them. There would have been a physical altercation between the two groups if the Guardian Angels stepped in.
But there have been problems with the Guardian Angels too. Thursday night according to the Angels, protesters tried to run them down with a car. Investigators said that there are conflicting story and the Guardian Angels are refusing to give a statement (a guess they are taking a cue from Casey). The protesters are claiming that the Angels attacked their car.
What have all the protests and fights achieved. Not a darn thing. Casey isn't going to tell anyone where poor Caylee is. Hell could freeze over and Casey would still blame the phantom babysitter. She did skip her daily visit to the Jose Baez's office of Friday. He came to her home, so I'm guessing she didn't get six full hours of his undivided attention.
What could be done about this drama? Casey could take her butt back to jail. That way the protesters could hang out in front of the jail. But we all know that isn't going to happen. The city could impose a curfew. That way the protesters could back to beating the crap out of each other in the middle of the night. Isn't that what trailer park trash normally do after a night of drinking? The normal protesters head home at a decent hour to spend time with their family and friends. Cindy and George Anthony could stay inside of their home when the protesters are trespassing. Hasn't their lawyer told them that. Call the police and let them handle it. Heading out the door with a baseball bat isn't going to make the situation better. And the police could actually fine and arrest the protesters who trespass and try to destroy property, not just the Anthony's property, but that of their neighbors. The fines would do the city some good. And being hit in the pocketbook may actually deter the protesters.
