The Chicago Tribune is reporting that William Balfour confessed to his girlfriend that he was involved in the murders of Jennifer Hudson's mother and brother. Nobody in their right mind confesses to being involved in the murder of a child I guess.
Balfour could be released after a hearing today with the Illinois Prisoner Review Board. They will determine if he violated the terms of his parole.
Update: According to the CNN ticker, Balfour will be staying put. He's probably safer where he is, even though prisoners aren't usually fond of child killers.
