The parents of Casey Anthony, the 22-year-old Orlando mother accused of killing her three-year-old daughter Caylee Anthony, are expected to release a statement later this week that will explain why they have continued to search for the young girl.
The statement will likely be released by Michelle Bart, the new family spokesperson who took over for Larry Garrison who quit the position last week.
According to reports the statement from Cindy and George Anthony will detail why they have continued searching for Caylee Anthony despite the overwhelming evidence that has suggested the young girl is dead.
Casey Anthony has been charged with the murder and is scheduled to face first-degree murder charges in January. She has denied any involvement in her daughter’s disappearance, telling investigators she dropped Caylee off with a babysitter and when she returned both were gone.
Caylee Anthony has been missing since June but it wasn’t until July that Casey Anthony reported her missing. Investigators have since uncovered DNA evidence from the trunk of a car driven by Casey that suggested the toddler was dead.
Why not just release the statement, instead of announcing days in advance that they will be releasing a statement and what is in it. Isn't that a statement in itself. It is all kind of pretentious.
And the Anthonys believe that Caylee is still alive because they love her and don't want to admit the truth. Would you want to believe that your daughter murdered her child. It's probably just easier for them to believe that Caylee was kidnapped by somebody who just really wanted a child.
I bet that deep down George has accepted that Caylee is gone. Cindy may be just crazy enough to believe Casey's story.
