The search is on for a 17 year old girl who ran away when she discovered that her mother was taking her and her 14 year old brother to an Omaha, Nebraska hospital to surrender them. The boy is in state custody.
A 5 year old boy was also left under Safe Haven laws Thursday.
I guess there is a rush to abandon children before Nebraska changes its laws to only allow a child to be left in the first three days of its life.
