It's nice to see a celebrity who knows that children aren't accessories to passed off to staff when the cameras aren't around.
David Furnish, Elton John's partner of 16 years told People:
"I don't think our lives are suited to raising children. We're busy flying places all the time."
Said Furnish, "Elton is not really going to come off the road. We don't want to put the raising of children into the hands of nannies and housekeepers. We want to be active parents. We have godchildren [and] kids that we support in Africa, so we're fine."
Elton John seems to be godfather to most of London's A-list celebrity tots. And the pair realize that you can help children in Africa without adopting one and bringing it home.
