Caylee Anthony Update 20

The citizens of Florida may be forced to pay for Casey Anthony's defense. At a time when thousands are losing their jobs and homes, Jose Baez may ask the state to pay for Casey Anthony's million dollar plus dream team. Casey Anthony can be declared indigent because she has nothing to pay for defense in the death penalty case. That would enable Jose Baez to argue that the state should pay for her pricey lawyers and experts. And I think the request may be coming soon, because Anthony and her team aren't being allowed to profit from the case...yet.

But there is also an argument against the request. Jose Baez would have to tell where they have been getting money from up till now, and take a fee cut. The deal would also involve the defense signing a 20 page agreement to follow the state's rules.

But I have a question. Does Casey really need two, three, or four lawyers? Does she really need the big, star experts. I am quite sure that there are even better experts who just aren't constantly or Court TV or Nancy Grace. And ten to one they cost less. Casey has the right under our system to get help with her defense, it's in the Constitution, but Floridians shouldn't have to foot a million dollar bill.
