Quiverfull

Yesterday Michelle Duggar gave birth to her 18th baby. The Duggars belong to a religious movement called Quiverfull. They believe that children are a gift from God and he will give you the number that you can love and support. The conservative Protestant group doesn't believe in birth control (even Natural Family Planning). But they do emphasize that God's plan includes adoption for some family, you have to give them that.

While I don't agree with their beliefs you have to admit that most of the parents. work really hard to take care of their families. And most quiverfull families don't have 18 kids. Maybe they are driven by the same urge that caused many middle class families to enlarge this decade, the chance to recreate a sense of family that was lost in the past few decades.

But the Duggars still creep me out.
