Caylee Anthony Update 10 February

The mother of slain Orlando toddler Caylee Anthony expressed grief and disapproval Monday over plans for her daughter's public funeral.

"I miss Caylee everyday and every minute of everyday," Casey Anthony said in a statement read by her lawyer Monday afternoon.

"I can't be there for Cayee's funeral but someday I want to visit her gave and want to tell her how much I miss her... I know they cremated her, but I still don't want the public with cameras and everyone around for Caylee's funeral service. I can't stop my parents from doing what they want. I truly hope it will help them."

A memorial service for Caylee will be held Tuesday at the First Baptist Church of Orlando. The public is invited to attend, but cameras will not be allowed inside.

Caylee was 2 years old when she was reported missing last summer. Her remains were found Dec. 11 in a wooded area about two miles from her home.

Casey Anthony was charged with murder, and gave her parents the legal authority to plan Caylee's funeral.

"If you look at the statement, she clearly believes this is a private matter," said her lawyer Jose Baez. "People grieve in different ways. If this is something they have to do she understands that. She loves her family very, very much. She realizes how difficult this is for everyone."

n a eulogy published Sunday in the Orlando Sentinel, Caylee's grandmother said the child's life didn't end "without a purpose."

Cindy Anthony says her granddaughter "now has her angel wings and will be watching over so many other children," and that the family will honor Caylee's memory by starting the Caylee Marie Anthony Foundation.

She also addressed the public funeral service.

"The family is requesting that those with only the purest of hearts and truly honorable intentions attend the service for their beloved child," Cindy Anthony wrote. "This service will be a tribute to her life and a time for her family and friends to finally be together to openly express and share their love for her."

Casey gave up the right to an opinion when she didn't report her daughter missing. I'm giving her the benefit of the doubt and pretending that I don't think she is as guilty as sin.
