Organic Milk
There is quite the spirited discussion over at The Kitchn about Organic Pastures Raw Colostrum. Colostrum is a mammal's pre-milk. Organic Pastures is a raw milk dairy. The cows are pasture fed, and are not given antibiotics, hormones, or GMOs (Genetically Modified Organisms). Each and every cow is given a name though. The colostrum is so raw that there may be blood in it. Raw milk is safe for healthy individuals. That's the reason we had to choose another organic milk. The little tyrant technically isn't healthy. A half gallon costs around $5.
In the end we chose milk from the Strauss Family Creamery. I liked that the milk came in reusable glass bottles. I hate throwing all those plastic bottles. It costs about $4.29 I think, plus the $1+ deposit on the bottle.
