A pasta dinner benefit will be held Friday in New York for a 17-year-old teen who disappeared last month while on a trip to Myrtle Beach.
Brittanee Drexel, of Rochester, N.Y., disappeared April 25 while in Myrtle Beach with friends.
Drexel's family members and friends have been in the area looking for Drexel, and extended their search Tuesday into Charleston.
The benefit will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at St. Helen's Church, 310 Hinchey Road, in Rochester, N.Y.
Donations are $10 per person. All proceeds will directly benefit the Drexel family by assisting with costs associated with the search and with expenses incurred while in South Carolina, according to family friends.
Tickets can be purchased at the following locations:
Wimpy's Burger Basket (Gates), 2160 Buffalo Road;
Haircourt, 3183 Chili Ave.;
Tuxedo Corner, 2338 Lyell Ave. (Gates) or 2240 Norton St. (Irondequoit); and
Studio 19 Dance Co. (Gates), 3035 Buffalo Road, Monday - Thursday 5 to 8:30 p.m.
Anyone with information about Drexel should call Myrtle Beach police at 918-1382.
If you live in the area go. It must be very expensive to have a missing child. And this just seems to be a sad case of a teenager who didn't believe her mother when she was told it was a big bad world out there. Help bring Brittanee home. The tickets are no more than the price of a normal meal out, and you could really help someone.
