Jesse James in Arizona Rehab
Jesse James has done what celebrities do when they get caught cheating (or in any other scandal for that fact), and checked into rehab. I think that for a lot of these celebs that rehab has become the place to ride out the bad press.
Jesse James Posed as Adolf Hitler While Dating Sandra Bullock
Nobody is saying that he is a white supremacist, it's more that he is an very stupid history buff. He should have known better than pose for the photo. He was famous before he met Sandra Bullock, and should have known that the picture could leak.
The 2010 Bugaboo Bee
The revised version of the Bugaboo Bee is due to be released in April. They may a few changes to make the stroller easier to use. First off, for safety the seat can only be removed empty. Bugaboo made the backrest and canopy height adjustable so that older children won't be so cramped once they get a little bigger. The backrest also now curves forward instead of backward to improve ergonomics. In addition the seat is wider and they removed the armrests. With no armrests there is less of risk of little fingers being pinched. Of course all this innovation will cost you over $100 more than the previous Bee. $649.99

Stella McCartney For Gap Spring
The Stella McCartney collection for Spring 10 is available now. I'm not too excited, but I think that has something to do with the fact that a lot of the pieces aren't practical for somewhere with 100 degree plus temperatures.

Ricky Martin Finally Comes Out
Ricky Martin finally has admitted to being gay. Not sure what took so long, he's already a huge icon. And it's not like we didn't all know already. Congrats on not having to lie anymore!
Bethenny Frankel Calls Wedding 'The Best Night Of My Life'
The Real Housewife of New York finally got a man to marry her. I've never heard a woman whine about getting married and pregnant so much in my life. Now Frankel, 7months pregnant has achieved both. And of course she is filming everything for Bravo.
Polaroid 600 One Camera on Sale Via the Impossible Project
Built in flash, digital LCD screen for picture count, and a focus-free lens. $180. Better hurry, they have fewer than 50 left. I would have been all over this, but I finally gave in and bought an IPhone...and promply became addicted to Hipstamatic.
Sandra Bullock...Gone Hollywood Without Jesse
Sandra Bullock has moved out of the home she shared with husband, Jesse James (reality tv's Tiger Woods) and into a home she owns in Hollywood. Could you get over your husband not just cheating, but being a complete slut about it?
Five Takes on the Family Tree
I especially love the Genuinely Yours Tree. Too bad the last last four generations of my family wouldn't amount to a twig. (We're not really breeders.)

Kimora's Top 10 Parenting Tips
Kimora Lee Simmons gives parenting advice. I think I would take her parenting advice before a lot of other celebs. Her daughters seem polite and well-mannered.

Justin Bieber's manager, Scooter Braun, turned himself for his involvement in the Twitter incited mall riot.
Jesse James: Were There Other Women?
The strippers are starting to come out of the woodwork. And there are allegations of sexual harassment. Guess nobody told Sandra that you couldn't turn a ho into a housewife. He was married to porn star after all, that says something about his judgment.

Jessica McClintock Prom Dress
This prom dress by Jessica McClintock is rather fun and flirty. It reminds me of a really hip ballerina. But for some odd reason pink tulle always reminds me of prom. The belt around the waist of the bustier keeps it from being too precious, so it it won't be like you are wearing a costume. Also available in black. $185.

Easter Craft Project For The Non-Crafty
I have been meaning to make glittered Easter eggs for the longest time, and I finally got around to it. The results were so pretty. I have to keep my craft projects simple because I don't have a crafty bone in my body, but this was simple enough for a 4year old. (Probably the reason mine turned out well.)
I used plastic eggs from Michael's, but this is a project you could do with blown out eggs or even your boiled eggs. I also used the Martha Stewart glitter from Michael's in Turquoise and Tourmaline for a more grown up take on the traditional Spring colors of pink and blue.
The eggs are currently being displayed in a pressed glass candy bowl on mirrored table. The reflections and the sparkle are so lovely.
Here are Martha Stewart's original directions.

J. Crew Soleil Tunic
I am considering whether or not to keep the J. Crew Soleil Tunic. The thing they didn't mention in the description is how sheer it is. I'm not known for my modesty, but even I am questioning if I can get away with wearing it. The silk of my grandmother's "I love Jesus" scarf is of higher quality. For what I paid, $88 (or $108 with shipping and handling), they could have used a slightly thicker silk. It just feels cheap.
The only reason I am considering keeping it is how good it looks on me. The colors go perfectly with my complexion. And since I'm short it is the perfect length to wear as a dress. At almost knee length it is not too long or short.
If I didn't feel so beautiful in it the tunic would already be on the way back to J. Crew. Maybe that feeling is worth overpaying. But it is still a lot to pay for a flimsy silk dress that was made in China.

Caylee Anthony Update 19 March 2010
Like I have said all along, there is no way that Casey Anthony could pay for her expensive defense. And guess what, she has gone hat in hand to the judge in her case to ask for the State of Florida to pay. And guess what it probably will. Casey (and probably Jose Baez) knew that she couldn't afford to pay, so either publicity whore Jose should have worked pro bono or she should have use a public defender like all the others who can't afford a lawyer.
And it has come out that they have been making deals. Not movie or book deals, but deals none the less.
Attorneys for Casey Anthony, a Florida woman accused of killing her 2-year-old daughter, told a judge Thursday that state funding for her defense is needed, as their money has run out. "There is no dispute that Casey Anthony is indigent," J. Cheney Mason, the newest member of Anthony's defense team, said at a Thursday hearing.
Orange County Circuit Judge Stan Strickland, however, required Anthony's attorneys to testify about how their funds have been spent to date before considering whether to allow public funds to be used, and he resisted attorneys' efforts to account for the funding behind closed doors.
"My problem is, you're seeking public funds," Strickland said, telling attorneys they are "trying to punch and get out of the way at the same time." Affidavits submitted by the defense, he said, were "pretty light in terms of full disclosure." He had the attorneys testify in court Thursday.
Strickland deferred a ruling on the issue until he receives not only the defense attorneys' testimony, but also information from the Justice Administrative Commission, the state agency that oversees funding. The commission has opposed allocating funding for Anthony's defense, saying in court papers it has "severe concerns" about whether she qualifies for financial assistance.
Anthony is charged with first-degree murder in the death of her daughter Caylee and has pleaded not guilty. Her trial is scheduled to begin on May 9, 2011. The state is seeking the death penalty against her.
Caylee Anthony's body was found in a lot near her grandparents' home in December 2008, six months after she went missing.
The grandparents -- Casey Anthony's parents, George and Cindy Anthony -- have supported their daughter but now are fighting foreclosure on their home, according to a complaint filed by Bank of America.
Lead defense attorney Jose Baez testified Thursday that the defense received and spent about $275,000 over the past year and a half. Of that, $5,000 came from an anonymous donor, $70,000 came from a former defense attorney, Todd Macaluso, and $200,000 came from ABC through a "deal" with Anthony. The terms of the deal were not released.
That money, he said, was spent on defense costs including travel, depositions and retention of experts. "It's been quite an expensive task," he said.
Rumors that Baez is to receive $700,000 after the trial are "completely false," he said. Baez and other defense attorneys testified they have no book or movie deals in the works.
Baez, who testified that he has spent about 2,500 hours on the case, has been paid an estimated $89,454, according to financial affidavits released by the court and written in what appears to be Casey Anthony's handwriting. Attorney Andrea Lyon has received $22,500, but testified Thursday that all of that money went back into costs associated with the case. "There's not a dime" left, she said.
Anthony wrote that both attorneys "were or are being paid by myself" and said that her income is "zero" and her assets are "zero." She did not list her debts or liabilities.
A third defense attorney, Linda Kenney Baden, testified that she is working pro bono -- for free -- on the case. Mason said he also is pro bono.
An attorney for the Justice Administrative Commission participated in the hearing by telephone.
Baez and Lyon say in a four-page motion that they are not asking the state to pay their legal fees but to assist with funding for other costs to defend Anthony. The defense is seeking help with costs that include service of subpoenas, investigative costs, travel, fees charged by experts to interpret forensic evidence, expert witness fees and the cost of depositions.
The defense attorneys say in their court papers that Anthony is entitled to financial assistance under the Constitution's Sixth Amendment, which protects her right to a fair trial. Because prosecutors have said they are seeking the death penalty, Anthony also is entitled to "the unique standard of care required for a capital defense," the attorneys say.
The central focus of the commission's response appeared to be based on Anthony's own financial affidavit: "Because the defendant has been able to provide over $110,000.00 in her defense, the JAC has severe concerns regarding the defendant's indigence," it said.
The commission cites Florida law, which requires the court to consider "when applicant retained private counsel" and "the amount of any attorney's fees and who is paying the fees." In regard to travel expenses, the response says that counsel will need to properly complete a travel voucher, but also states that "JAC does not pay for reimbursement of travel expenses for privately retained counsel."

Rielle Hunter Speaks (Even Though She Should Have Kept Her Mouth Shut)
Rielle Hunter has given a tell-all interview to GQ Magazine. She was able to go to GQ instead of a grocery checkout tabloid because she was smart enough to have sex with a presidental contender instead of some d-lister. And she is guilty of giving too much information. Someone should tell this woman that no matter what she thinks she is a marriage wrecking tramp. She would be nothing but a notch in John Edwards' belt if she hadn't gotten pregnant.
She gives all the details of her affair with John Edwards, and even goes so far as to pretend that she didn't know who he was. No excuse! Once he told her his name, she knew he was married.
I think Rielle still thinks she is going to end up with John in the end. But John Edwards isn't stupid, he knows that if he wants any type of political or legal career that he needs to find someone else. Because she has made him a joke.
And if the two aren't together by the end of the year, I fully expect her to write her own tell-all book. Here is the link to GQ's whole sorrid interview. (And just don't you just love how she tries to be sexy yet classy in her white shirt and pearls.)

16 and Pregnant Chelsea
Sadly, we have gotten used to the fathers on 16 and Pregnant being selfish jerks, but I have to say that Adam is actually abusive. Sure it's not physical abuse but it is still abuse. The things he says to Chelsea are his way of controlling her. He called his daughter a mistake and said he wanted to sign away his rights to her. Leaving him may not be easy for Chelsea, but that is what she needs to do. She doesn't want her baby girl growing up to think that is how she should be treated. Chelsea knows what a man should be like, her dad is a stand up guy. And she should want that for her daughter.

Roses
It's starting to look like Spring. And my mind has turned to roses. Here are the some of the roses I have planted in my yard.
Eden
Brother Cadfael
Eden
I have a fondness for the color pink. Most of the roses I have are blush colored. And somehow all my groundcover has become purple: grape hyacinth, violets, and now the bluebells. I will post actual pictures as things start becoming beautiful.

Bluebells
I was so inspired by the bluebell woods in the movie "Bright Star", that I had to have my own. So I have been waiting for the rain to lift to plant some bulbs. I purchased a hundred bulbs in the green from the English eBay seller, Woodlandbulb. The bulbs cost about $20.90 plus shipping. They lift the bulbs from their own field, as it is illegal to take the increasingly rare flower from the wild in Britain.
I'm not expecting many flowers this year, but gardening is about long term planning.

16 and Pregnant
Last nights 16 and Pregnant was heartbreaking. Valerie seemed so alone. Valerie was adopted and you could feel her longing for a family. Her adoptive family was great and stood by her, but something was just missing. Maybe she was lost in the midst of all the adoptive (11) and foster children (over 90).
And then she her daughter, Nevaeh was born so ill that she had to taken by helicopter to the nearest children's hospital. It was the saddest episode yet. Yes, even sadder then when Catelynn gave her daughter up for adoption.
Watch the full episode below:
And if the show was sad, the aftershow was even worse. She knows that Matt isn't really going to be there but she still holds out hope.

If last season was about fathers who were at least trying to make an effort, the boys so far on this season are baby daddies in the true Maury sense of the words. They are jerks to their very cores. Valerie's baby daddy, Matt even denied that the baby was his.

Clothes For Skinny Kids
It is relatively easy to find clothes for "husky" kids (Probably due to the fact that kids are getting heavier right along with the rest of the American population.), but really hard to find pants that will fit a skinny kid. My youngest son is Rachel Zoe skinny and pants either fit in the waist and are to short, or they are long enough and he's swimming in them. My go to source for pants that actually fit him is the Gap. He practically lives in the Flat Front Khakis. And he can actually wear a size 10 instead of a 7 is so short that he looks like he is waiting for a flood.
And if your boy is Husky, Gap has you covered too. In fact, it's the exact same link. Prices start at $19.50.
