Mimijumi Baby Bottles Now Available
You can purchase the breast shaped Mimijumi Very Hungry bottle now. This was one of the critical hits of the ABC Kids Expo. The 8oz BPA-free bottles are $17.99. I can't wait to see what their pacifiers look like.
Update: And a portion of the purchase price will go to help children born with cleft palates.

Why Don't All Baby Bottles Look Like Boobies?
Maybe if they did babies wouldn't have such a hard time with nipple confusion. Mimijumi doesn't have that problem though. Their bottles are designed to mimic the look and feel of a real breast. (I wonder if the nipples will come in a range of colors. Just kidding.) The bottle will be made of BPA-free plastic and the nipple of medical grade silicone. The nipple snaps on to the bottle for one hand use. It doesn't sound like a make or break feature, but when you're trying to fill a bottle with a crying baby in your hand it really is.
Mimijumi will be releasing the "Very Hungry" or 8 ounce bottle within the next month. And it is expected to retail for $17.99.
But what I love most are the little milk cartons that the bottles and nipples come in. But I am a sucker for product packaging.

Prince Lionheart Silicone Bottles
Prince Lionheart's newest baby bottles are made of pure medical grade silicone. The bottles and nipples provide a safe, hypoallergenic way to feed because silicone is a natural material that has no open pores to harbor bacteria. The bottles are also BPA, Phthalate, PVC latex and lead free. The bottles can be used in the microwave, freezer and dishwasher safe.
Prince Lionheart‘s silicone bottle collapses as air is released giving baby a bubble-free bottle feeding, reducing the likelihood of colic reflux and spit-up.
The bottles come in 4oz and 8oz sizes, and as singles ($12.99) or in a pack of 3 ($27.99).

The $36 Baby Bottle

Karim Rashid designed a self heating baby bottle, and I kid you not, it costs $35.94. The BPA free Iiamo Go Self Heating bottle heats the bottle in 4 minutes without batteries or electricity. The bottle is heated with an organic heating cartridge that contains salt and water. Don't ask me how the bottle is heated. I have no idea. I am still in shock that the bottle costs $36.

Products I'm Loving 26 September

Skip Hop Mate, the company has started releasing the products they showed at the ABC Kids Fair. The plate attaches to the place mat so that toddlers can't toss the plate. And of course it is PVC and BPA free. $20
Have a look at the little girl's face in the picture where she is being handed the plate. She looks disappointed that it is a plate full of plain veggies.

Juice Boxes For Kids

After last weeks warning about the massive quantity of sugar in Capri Sun I have found some healthier options. If you live in Europe there are Innocent Drinks smoothies for kids. These cartons have no added anything. The ingredients are listed right there on the website and they are all pronounceable. Here in the US there is First Juice which trains little taste buds to like less sweet drinks. And then there is Bot Beverage's fortified flavored water. They cost more than traditional juice boxes, but think of what you will save in dental bills.

Petit Tresor Still Running Their Mouths
You think that they would have learned their lesson after Tom Cruise's cease and desist letter. But they didn't. If you cruise on over to BabyChic101 you will see that they are claiming to have designed Angelina Jolie's French nursery, and to have sold them 144 Adiri Natural Nurser bottles. Yes, you read that right 12 dozen Adiri bottles at $22 a piece. Which is about $10 more than they are sold everywhere else.

"I Am Not A Paper Cup..."
It just, just arrived. And I love it. Bought it at Charles and Marie, it took like two months for them to get it back into stock, they sent me the wrong item last month, but it was so worth it. It is bigger than I thought. And the porcelain is of a very nice quality. If only it came in an even bigger size. $20
