Nadya Suleman's 911 Call
911 Tapes have been released of the chaotic homecoming of two of the octuplets late Tuesday. Hundreds of people gathered outside their mother's new home in La Habra, prompting Nadya Suleman to call for help.
"The paparazzi is dangerous at this point," Suleman told an operator. "They're trying to break down the garage door. We pulled in here and they're swarming the whole area. I need help. It's not safe for any of the kids."
The babies and Suleman arrived home around 10:25 p.m. Tuesday in an SUV surrounded by scores of photographers, reporters and gawkers who had staked out Suleman's new house for hours. They clung to her vehicle as she arrived with babies Noah and Isaiah.
Police were also at the La Habra residence Tuesday evening, apparently for crowd control.
Witnesses said several people were knocked down by the SUV.
"God stop," Suleman told a Radar Online camera crew that was inside the car. "What am I? The president?" she said.
Video posted on Radaronline.com showed the SUV pulling into the garage from the inside, and screams can be heard for the photographers to get out.
Two caretakers in scrubs help Suleman take the babies into the house after she shows them off to the camera.
Earlier Tuesday, a nanny inside the house also called authorities, asking that attorney Gloria Allred be removed. After talking with police officers, Allred agreed to wait outside.
Noah Angel and Isaiah Angel were discharged Tuesday from Kaiser Permanente Bellflower Medical Center, where they had been since their births on Jan. 26.
Noah Angel, the first of the octuplets to be born, weighs 5 pounds, 13 ounces, according to Jim Anderson, Kaiser Permenente's Southern California Region media relations director.
Both infants are able to bottle feed, are gaining weight and are able to maintain their body temperature, Anderson said.
The remaining six babies continue to progress well and remain at Kaiser Permenent Bellflower Medical Center, Anderson said. They continue to gain weight, and remain on either formula or donated pasteurized breast milk.
Social workers from the hospital visited Suleman's home last week and determined it was not safe for the babies. On Monday, they said there had been great progress with the home improvements, but it was still not ready.
Workers were seen going in and out of the home, completing various home improvement projects, and several baby-related items were delivered.
Over the weekend, the single mother of 14 took her 6-year-old daughter Amerah to Disneyland. She also took her other children to Knotts Berry Farm and went shopping for items to fill her new house.
Suleman smiled and posed with the babies and then handed them over to someone else. She's the one acting like she is the president. And if she doesn't want all the attention, why is she selling the story of her every move to Radar Online.
