Does Mel Gibson Have A Pregnant Mistress

Mel Gibson sat his children down and announced that his Russian girlfriend is pregnant with his love child, a Gibson family friend told The ENQUIRER. (How is he going to take that baby to his ultra-conservative Catholic Church to be baptized? A baby conceived while he was married to somebody else. Practice what you preach Mel!)

The kids were stunned by the news, and the pregnancy bombshell has set the stage for a bitter battle over the Braveheart star's billion-dollar fortune, sources reveal.

The Oscar winner's two oldest boys - 26-year-old twins Edward and Christian - will hire an attorney to protect their trust funds, and insiders expect his estranged wife Robyn will seek more than half of his assets.

At the center of the battle is Mel's girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva, 39, who is about three months pregnant, according to the family friend.

"In late April, Mel gathered his children at the family home in Malibu and broke the news that Oksana is pregnant, and he expects them to accept the baby as a new sibling," the friend told The ENQUIRER.

"They are quite upset," the source revealed. "Even though Mel assured them the pregnancy was unplanned (on his part probably not on hers), they're furious with him and say they're going to take steps to protect their inheritance, which they feel is in jeopardy". (Hopefully they are more concerned about their mother's feelings than money.)

Micke Grove Zoo and Japanese Garden

The car show over the weekend was held at Micke Grove in Lodi, California. Micke Grove is a quaint park with a zoo, small amusement park, and a lovely Japanese Garden. These aren't huge attractions on the scale of San Francisco, but they have a special charm.

The zoo feels like it is in a private garden. It isn't huge, but it has the feel that it could be in quirky millionaire's back yard. One of the star attractions is a pair of bald eagles that couldn't be returned to the wild. The zoo is undergoing an upgrade, so the mountain lion and snow leopard have to alternate time in the display cage. We got to see the mountain lion. But the zoo mainly is composed of monkeys and birds.

And the Japanese Garden is a pretty, shaded wonderland. It may be one of my favorite places in the Central Valley. At one point we had to hop across a rock path in a small pond to continue on the path. The garden was a post war gift from San Joaquin County's Japanese community, and was dedicated in 1965. It was designed by Nagao Sakurai who for 20 years was the landscape architect at the Imperial Palace in Japan.

Entrance to the park is $5 for parking, and to enter the zoo is and additional $2 for adults and $1 for a child.

California Academy Of Science Opening

The magnificent new California Academy of Science will be opening the 27 September. Admission for Saturday's opening will be free, as are all third Wednesdays of every month. The building with it's huge green roof was designed by Renzo Piano, an internationally acclaimed architect.

I can't wait to go. We won't be going opening weekend unfortunately. My youngest son has a cold. And it's best if we wait until things settle down. A huge crowd with an autistic teenager, a 90 year old with a walker, a tiny, shy little boy, and my mother who will need to take cigarette breaks is a nightmare waiting to happen.It's my own little traveling circus. But if you are in San Francisco go, it's free.

Also opening this week is The Cathedral of Christ the Light in Oakland. The Bay Area is getting two amazing new buildings.
