An emotional plea for help from the family of a missing teenager. The disappearance of 17 year old Brittanee Drexel remains a mystery tonight. The teenager was last seen in Myrtle Beach eleven days ago. The effort to find the missing teenager is now a door to door campaign. The family is doing what they can to stay positive in a very difficult time
Brittanee Drexel’s family is covering every inch of Georgetown, in the car and on foot. Stopping at every store and gas station in town, putting up these flyers hoping for help
“Everybody is waiting for you, poppa, your brother and sister, aunt Cheryl, everybody is up here looking for you, please Brittanee return safely,” said Carol Wagner Brittanee’s Grandmother Drexel was last spotted leaving a Myrtle Beach hotel on April 25th. Last weekend investigators picked up on her cell phone signal near the Georgetown Charleston county line. That search came up empty and Brittanee’s Grandmother worries the teen maybe with someone.
“I think she just made the wrong decision and went with somebody and that’s not a normal thing she would do, but I really think she made the wrong decision,” said Wagner.
As the days go by, more and more people are joining the effort. This is the first day for family members Cheryl Tomasso and Chris Rizzo.
“Knowing we don’t feel so helpless because we are here with hands on, we can see the effort and it’s amazing and we thank everyone for your help,” said Chris Rizzo.
The family is convinced a tip from the public will break the case, they hope every picture on a window will help bring this teenager home.
Police did confirm investigators were at Georgetown High School on Wednesday following up on a lead but would not comment any further.
